How Does Fat Leave The Body Exactly?

Fat leaves the body by getting burned for energy. Fat is stored energy anyway, but to be excreted from the body it needs to be converted to accessible energy. When you create a calorie deficit either through your diet or through exercise, your body empties the fat cell and transports its components, glycerol and fatty acids, to your kidneys, liver and muscle tissue. After that, the usable portion of the fat cell gets processed into energy and the waste products get excreted through urine and sweat.
