Almost all of us have some areas on our bodies that we don’t like: maybe it’s the abdomen, thighs, legs, chest and so on. The way our body stores fat depends largely on our genes, gender and our age and not on the foods we eat. In short, it’s not your fault if you have large thighs. Is there a solution? So far, no fitness program or diet has been effective. Of course, some studies have shown that certain things, such as smoking, alcohol and trans fats can aggravate the accumulation of fat in the abdomen. But, in general spot reduction is inherently impossible. And here's why: when for example you exercise your thighs you will not burn fat exclusively from that area, but from the entire body. The body burns the stored fat from the areas it wants, not from where you want. As for diet, no food has been proven to eliminate local fat, with the possible exception of milk or green tea, which may help you mobilize a little bit extra fat from the abdomen (keep in mind that even this small effect is controversial).
